Pastrana opens the championship with a win

Travis Pastrana, after having spent one season paired with Derek Ringer, is once again paired with Christian Edstrom and confortably won the opening rally of the Rally America 2009 season, the Sno*Drift Rally in Atlanta, Michigan, the only snow rally in the national calendar.

Travis, managing to come in either 1st or 2nd in 17 out of 20 stages, finished the rally almost 2 minutes ahead of second place Tanner Foust.

The New England Rally does the "Dragon"

As in previous years, New England Rally has published its schedule for the current year. And this one promises to be one of the best ever.

This years' rally run will take place at the famous "Tail of the Dragon" between North Carolina and Tennesse in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. For the non initiated, it is one of the most scenic and challending roads in the world: there are, in the span of 11 miles, 318 curves!

The run will take place from Midnight Thursday May 14, 2009 to Sunday May 17, 2009. The starting location will be in Hartford, Connecticut and the end of the travel leg will be Robbinsville, North Carolina.

For those not from the New England area that would like to join us without having to drive to Hartford, we are planning to have stops in Hazleton PA, Winchester VA and Salem VA.
